Summer is here! Hot days, delicious meals with friends, travel opportunities…Summer offers us endless options to enjoy free time and recharge after a busy academic year. However, summer also offers us the invaluable opportunity to enjoy a good book and read as a family. We want to make sure that our pupils are reading over the summer break.
The Nursery teachers have given some recommendations, so our pupils have many options to choose from!

Here are some tips to make sure your child is reading during the summer:
When travelling, make sure to pack some good books in your luggage. The time spent on transport is a good opportunity for the child to read some good titles!
Find a time each day to read. It is important to create a reading routine.
Create a comfortable space in the house to read. Children will identify the space with reading a book.
Devote time as a family to talk about books. It can be during having dinner, cooking a meal… make sure that books are part of your conversation.
Visit public libraries or bookstores. It is important that children have access to a wide array of books and visiting libraries or bookstores is a very good plan to do as a family!
Make sure that your child borrows books from our library! The library allows each child to borrow 5 books so make sure he/she takes advantage of our wonderful collection.
