Admissions Process

At Hiba Academy Nantong we have the highest expectations of our very youngest pupils. We encourage our pupils to be independent learners and independent individuals from the very beginning of their education. They are joining an educational establishment with a proud history of learning and we want all members of our community to embrace this ethos as they develop.

1.COFFEE MORNINGS

We highly recommend that prior to submitting an application, you attend one of our coffee mornings or information sessions. Attending one of these sessions gives prospective parents the opportunity to meet both the Head of Early Years and other members of the leadership team whilst learning more about Hiba Academy Nantong, its educational philosophy and details of the wonderful facilities.

2.ONLINE APPLICATION

We will open our OpenApply admissions management system where you can submit an online application and upload all required supporting documents. The admissions team will confirm receipt. There is no application deadline but as spaces are very limited in many year groups we recommend you apply early to avoid disappointment.

3.GETTING TO KNOW YOU

Following receipt of a complete online application, families will be invited to attend a ‘Getting to Know You’ session. This session provides both the nursery and applicant families a more in-depth opportunity for us to get to know each other and to establish that there is an alignment of values and educational ethos.

During the session, our practitioners will spend some time with your child observing how they play and interact with other children, and how they play independently. Our team will also meet iwith the family to discuss with parents the child’s developmental milestones, and to decide whether your child is ready to join us at Hiba Nursery. 4.APPLICATION REVIEW AND OUTCOME

Applications will be reviewed by our admissions committee and families will be notified of the outcome via phone call or email.

For entry in the academic year 2022-2023, a child would be placed according to their age:
